Five on Friday

Happy Friday everyone! This week has flown by and has been packed full with lots of school stuff going on. I'm happy it's the weekend and I can't wait to sleep in! Tomorrow at Orange Theory they are doing the 2500 meter row for time, so you won't be seeing me there lol. That's just too much on my back, plus this means that Mark and I can go workout together at the gym on base. Win, win :) I hope you all had a wonderful week and are getting excited for Thanksgiving! As always I'm linking up with AprilNatashaChristinaKarliErikaNarci, and Andrea. Have a great day!

One-

My sweet friend Emily is in town for a few weeks and I couldn't be more excited! We met for a drink on Wednesday night and it was so nice to just relax and chat. I've missed her! Of course, I totally forgot to take a picture but I love this pic from us at my birthday last year! :)

Two-

I hit up the Veteran's day sale at Old Navy and it did not disappoint! I got two pairs of workout crops, a workout tank, a cable-knit sweater, and a dress from the Gap. Everything at Old Navy was up to 60% off and then they had an additional 40% off your total, including Gap and Banana Republic as well. If that wasn't good enough they had free shipping on orders over $75 (original total). If you missed the sale don't worry, they have another sale going on right now!

Three-

I made brown sugar oatmeal raisin cookies this week and they turned out soooo delicious! Mark loves oatmeal raisin cookies so I thought I would give them another go. The last two times I made them they weren't very good, but this time I nailed it. Wow, Jessica... humble much lol?? I used the Pioneer Woman's recipe and you can find it here. They were soft and a little chewy but not cakey at all. I hate cakey cookies lol. Anyways you should go make some this weekend :) They will make your house smell amazing!

Four-

We had a Math Night at school yesterday and this was one of the games we created. It's a life-size Slides and Ladders! So fun! Stephanie came up with the idea and we put it together on her giant rug in her classroom. Such a hit with the kiddos! I think it turned out pretty well. :)

Five-

Counting today :)

I have been putting together a few gift guides since Christmas is so close. The one I am working on now is a makeup lovers gift guide and this is definitely a favorite for me. I thought I would give you a little sneak peak of a few things that I am loving. Also, if you are a VIB member at Sephora you can get 20 percent off your total purchase this weekend. It's a great time to take advantage of the discount to purchase some of items you've been eyeing.
