Weekend Recap

Happy Monday everyone! We have today off in honor of Veteran's Day so I am currently drinking coffee in bed :) Anyways, this weekend was nice and relaxing... just what I needed.

On Friday night, Mark and I had dinner at King's Fish House then finally went to see the Martian. We've tried to see this movie several times now so I was excited to finally be sitting in the movie theater. It was soooo good and I'm not even a space-movie lover. Matt Damon somehow managed to make this otherwise suspenseful movie super funny. I would recommend this movie to anyone... definitely a must-see!

On Saturday morning, I woke up early to work out at OTF. I have been on a serious workout kick lately and all I can say about that is FINALLY! I have been so out of my workout routine lately and it just makes me feel even more sluggish. Plus, it's always a bonus when you're clothes fit lol. Afterwards, Mark and I ran some errands and went to Coronado for lunch. There's this super delicious deli in a convenience store and it's Mark's fave sandwich shop ever. We got our sandwiches and ate outside because it was such a nice day. As much as I am dying for fall weather being able to feel comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt is pretty awesome as well!

When we got home I made some banana bread, started some laundry, and then got ready for the concert. The day flew by and I only had a short period of time to get ready, yikes! I was trying something new with my hair and it turned out kinda how I wanted it too haha. Then it was time to meet up with Ashley for dinner and to head to the concert.

haha awkward face while trying to show the front and back of my hair

Don't mind the messy bathroom and the smudges on the mirror lol

The concert was amazing!!!! Garth seems so down to earth and goofy. I love how is so humble about his career and is truly thankful for everything that he has been given/ worked hard to earn. Plus Trisha and him are seriously adorable!

On Sunday, we took the dogs on a walk and stopped to grab a coffee at the Coffee Bean. It was the perfect way to start the morning.

Then we met up with Dina and some of her family who are in town. We ate at To the Point of course! Afterwards, I did normal Sunday things, cleaning, laundry... you know the drill. We had tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner because we've been craving it lately. So good! We ended the night with our Bible Study group and once again it was filled with insight and encouragement.
