Five on Friday

I'm back with my favorite post of the week... Five on Friday! Today I'm sharing some things that I'm loving. A BIG fave right now is the Christmas season in general. I love all the Christmas decorations, the hustle and bustle when it comes to shopping and wrapping gifts, and of course the yummy treats. I will be so depressed when we have to take down our Christmas stuff lol. Anyways, I'm not going to let the depression set in yet. :)

Christmas Planner

So if you're like me, you need to write everything down to stay organized and sane. I'm super old fashioned in the sense that I need to see it on paper, not track it on my phone or on a spreadsheet. That's why using things like a gift tracker makes my like soooo much simpler lol! I was sent this Christmas planner from Gifts.com and I immediately fell in love with how easy it is to keep everything organized. I would show you my printed version but then my friends and fam would see their gifts lol. So just take my word for it... I've used it and love it.

Dry Shampoo

My friend Stephanie introduced me to the Dry Bar dry shampoo and I LOVE it. Dry shampoo has never been much of a game changer for me but this one is! I section off my hair, spray it into my roots, and then rub it in to soak up the oil. Then I blow dry each section using my big round brush to give my hair more volume. It has really helped my second day hair to look so much better and I can actually wear it down instead of up in a ponytail. I have the travel size right now but I need to buy the full size asap. This would also make a great stocking stuffer, hint hint Mark :) Thanks of the recommendation Steph!

Gossip Girl

I have been on a major Gossip Girl kick over the last few weeks and I am so obsessed. I used to watch the show years ago but never finished it. Now, I'm cruising through the seasons and will be done soon lol.  It's just an easy show to have on in the background and doesn't stress me out like a lot of other shows do. I really appreciate that lol!

Qalo Ring

I've had a Qalo ring for awhile now but the new options are seriously so cute. These are made to be stacked and I love the idea of changing them up a bit. Plus it's just a nice option to still wear a ring when I workout but I don't risk ruining my actual ring. The peach option is next on my list!

Sunsets

Sunsets are my jam and I have reeeeally missed my walks at Sunset Cliffs. Every now and then I catch a gorgeous sunset here in VA and this one was amazing! I love the colors!

Friday Favorites {What I'm Loving}

Friendships

Happy Birthday Rhys!

missing Dina because she's taking the picture :)

I am so lucky to have such a great group of friends here in San Diego. I was terrified to move here and leave my comfort zone in Vegas. Luckily, I was introduced to some pretty incredible people through Mark's work and my own. I'm so thankful for every lady here who makes me feel so special. The other night, some of these girls went to celebrate a dear friend, Rhys' birthday. So fun!

Bai Bubbles

I love sparkling water because it makes me feel like I am drinking something fancier than just plain water lol. I actually really love soda but I know that it's terrible for me, so I avoid it most days. I just found these Bai Bubble drinks and I think they are delicious. The black cherry is my favorite :)

Enchilada Soup

I made the Enchilada soup that Christina posted last week and holy moly it was delicious! I'm such a weirdo about corn in dishes but it was actually super yummy. I think the cotija cheese gives it great flavor and the chicken was so tender. This will be a staple for us this fall!

Fall Colors

Blush   |   Palette

Now that the weather is getting cooler, I change up my makeup to more fall "appropriate" colors. Instead of using pinky blushes and shimmer eye shadows, I'll use mauvey blushes and matte eye shadows. I've pulled out my Oasis blush from Nars and I had forgotten how much I LOVE it. Such a pretty color. I've also been using my Lorac Pro palette more often. The matte colors are pretty perfect and the bronze shade it my go-to for some shimmer.

This Is Us

This week we watched the new show This Is Us and we loved it!!! I don't know what I was expecting but it was totally different. I really don't want to ruin the first episode for anyone, so I'll post more about it next week. Go watch the replay on NBC.com, trust me, you'll like it! :)

Living Like Grown-ups

You guys, I forgot to tell you the most exciting/ boring thing ever. We have a washer and dryer at our new place!!! We haven't had a washer and dryer in our home in the last three years. We've had to use the community washer and dryers and it was pretty awful. I know this sounds like such a boring thing to be excited about but just imagine your life without one. Pretty bad huh??

I'm linking up with all my favorite ladies today! Check out their blogs: Christina, April, Natasha, Amy, and Karli.

Random Friday Favorites

It's finally Friday! It has felt like Friday since about Wednesday... which is the worst lol! I'm so excited for the weekend and for the wedding festivities to continue. We went to dinner at the bride's parent's house last night and holy moly the food was yummy!! We also got to spend some time with Emiko... I love that little lady!

I've been reading One Plus One by Jojo Moyes and I have to be honest... it didn't start out great. I feel like a lot of Moyes' books start soooo slow. It took me awhile to get into it but I really like it so far. I'm also still reading Weird Sisters but I've had a hard time getting into it. :( I found a few books at Target that I am adding to my reading list as well. I'm so excited about this Mary Kubica book! I LOVED Good Girl. If you haven't read it yet, you need to ASAP!

Can summer be here already so I can actually workout and read lol??? That's what I am most excited about!

We went on a sunset walk the other night and it was perfect. I love walking at the Cliffs and the fact that Mark was there and our pups, made it even better.

I've been sick all week, well recovering from being sick I guess lol, so I've been blowing my nose a ton. Where does it all come from?? Gross! You know when you blow your nose a ton and you end up getting a rash/ dry red area around your nose?? Yep, I had that going on this week. Not cute. Well I used the Rodan+ Fields Soothe step 2 (sensitive skin treatment) and it's GONE!! I'm so excited. I should have taken a picture but of course I didn't think about it at the time. I love this stuff for sunburns, sensitive skin, rashes, and my random red patches I get on my chest.

I'm back to LOVING my It Cosmetics CC cream. I recently repurchased the Medium shade since the Light was looking a little fair on my skin. The Medium is perfect and really blends well with my skin tone. This is must for the summer since it has an SPF of 50. I still use a moisturizer with SPF because too much sun protection can't hurt!

Thank you again for all of the love on my "When Life Doesn't Go As Planned..." post. You guys are the best! :) I hope everyone has a great weekend and remember the reason for the extra day off. So proud to come from a military family!

Five on Friday {Fancy Clothes & Forbes Article}

Hey there everyone! Happy Friday :) We have a full weekend ahead of us but I'm hoping for some down time on Sunday. Let's jump into this Five on Friday.

1- Fancy Night Out

Mark and I are going to a fancy-schmancy dinner tomorrow night so I had to find something to wear. I actually got my dress at JcPenny's and it was super on sale. It's around $75 online right now but they always have coupons. Mine doesn't have a belt, but I like it better that way.

I am obsessed with those earrings! I couldn't find them in store but I'm hoping to look again before Saturday.

These heels are pretty comfortable to wear and they look great with everything. I'm also using a clutch similar to this Rebecca Minkoff Envelope bag, but mine was way less expensive. :) I got mine several years ago at Old Navy. This bag is adorable though!

2- Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint

I recently tried the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint and I've fallen in love. It wears so naturally but doesn't make me look like a grease ball. I just have a sample right now but I plan on picking up the full size asap. Has anyone else tried any great foundations lately??

3- Forbes Article

Some of my Rodan+ Fields team members were featured in a Forbes article this week. It's so awesome to see such a reputable publication recognize how great our company is and how much we've grown. Check it out if you're curious about what it is that I do and why I love it so much.

Also, I'm holding a sale until tomorrow (April 30th at 11:55 PST) for a free PC perks enrollment ( a $19.95 value). This gets you 10% off your products and free shipping. If you're interested or just want to hear more about our products email me at: jmbradford0211@yahoo.com

4- Spring Cleaning

Katie over at Katie Elizabeth blog posted some awesome spring cleaning tips & tricks and I'm so excited to try some of them. Wow, does that make me officially old when I say I'm excited to clean lol?? I want to try the "de-gunking" tips for the stovetop. Ours gets gross so stinkin' fast. Also, this post about how to clean your microwave without scrubbing. Our kitchen needs a major deep clean!

5- The Rosie Project

I started reading The Rosie Project this week and I actually really like it. I've almost bought the book several times but thought it wasn't something I would be into. I'm happy to say that I was wrong. It's great! It's a super light read and isn't as heavy as some of the last books I've read. Thanks for the recommendation Tracy!

Friday Favorites {Link & Loves}

Happy Friday everyone! I am so glad it's almost the weekend because this week was rough. I had a really fun night last night though. It was my friend Meaghan's birthday and we ate at Fireside in Point Loma. It was super yummy!

Don't mind the weird lumpy looking part of my dress lol. I have no idea why it looks like that. :)

I bought this dress a few weeks ago and I LOVE it. I received so many compliments when wearing it this week, plus it was so comfy! :)

I have a new obsession with the show the Americans. It's so good! We recently got rid of U-Verse, so I've been looking for new shows to watch using Amazon Prime and Netflix. Anyone have any other recommendations?

I'm reading the book The Nest and I really like it so far. I find myself looking for any spare minute so I can read a few pages. It's very different from the Historical fiction I've read lately but it's a welcome change.

I am LOVING my R+F business. April was a HUGE month for me and it's not even over yet. Thank you for the constant encouragement and support... you know who you are :)

I just pre-ordered the new Elin Hilderbrand book called Here's to Us. In my opinion, her books are the perfect summer reads. I've read almost all of them so I can't wait for the new one.

If you live in San Diego, you should check out the new Public Market in Liberty Station (in Point Loma). We went there on Wednesday night after Mark came home. There are a bunch of cute little places to eat and even a Mess Hall that has Bottle Craft and a pretty large bar. Stay tuned because I'm going to write a little Culinary Curiosity post about it next week. :)

I can't wait to try this new Shrimp Thai Green Curry recipe from Juli over at PaleOMG. It looks so yummy!

These cat eye sunglasses from Forever 21 are adorable! I have huge cheeks so I'm not sure how they would look but for the $5.90 price tag they are totally worth it.

I am also loving that my hubby is home! Yay! :)

Have a great weekend! :)
