Weekend Recap {Are we in SD??}

I love him!

We had the most gorgeous weekend here in VA Beach. It was actually warm and made me think we were in San Diego... well kinda lol! On Friday, we had dinner with Pete and Lindsay at Gringos. We had a great time chatting and catching up, plus the margaritas were delicious! Of course, I forgot to take pictures lol... I'm the worst lately!

On Saturday, we ran errands and finally picked up my jeep from the dealership. It has been such an ordeal to get my heat fixed but it's finally done, just in time for spring lol! Just glad to have it back. Afterwards, we went to Taste to have lunch outside. Everyone else has the same idea and it was packed. Our lunch was so yummy though!

Later on, we went to dinner for my friend's birthday. It was fun to meet her friends and to celebrate her big day. Happy Birthday Becky!
We headed over to Tj and Ashley's for dessert and to hang out. We ended up drinking a ton of wine and staying out way too late but it was a blast. I love the Virginia Beach is starting to feel more like home.

Sunday was a laaaazy day and we slept in. I did manage to run a few errands, write lesson plans, and do laundry though. We headed back to TJ and Ashley's for dinner and holy moly TJ is a great cook. We had the most amazing penne all vodka. I am still full from it but so worth it! We also got to watch Chasen pitch which was so cool! Go Bugs!

We had a great weekend spent with some new friends and a few SD friends too. Now lets hurry up and get to next weekend! :)

Mets v. Nats game

Hey there everyone! I promise I'm going to get better with posting after school gets going and I'm in a better routine. Right now there is just so much going on! Last weekend, Mark came home (yay!!) and we went up to D.C. for the day to watch Chasen (hopefully) pitch. We met my friend Carly and her husband up there too. I love that we live close enough to see them more often!

The drive was super long because of traffic but we got to the stadium just in time. The weather was perfect and the game was super fun. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see Chasen pitch because they had a double header and he pitched the late game. We were already home by then, but it was still a blast!

After the game, we went down to the field to say hi to Chasen and then we headed to the media area so we could go down to the locker room. It's a boys only situation so we just went downstairs but no locker room haha. Still so cool to see the underworkings of a ball field.

We are so proud of Chasen and love coming to watch him play! Hopefully I'll get to see him pitch in person before the season is over :(

Week Recap {Baseball & Birthday}

He's so cute!

Hi everyone! I'm currently drinking coffee and eating breakfast without rushing around. Gosh I love summer lol. I've been in Las Vegas for the last few weeks visiting my family before I head across country. This past week was pretty low key but I also had something going on every day. We spent a ton of time in the pool, reading new books, and watching Big Brother. I actually really like to be busy, so the combo of both has been really nice.

My brother in law is back in Vegas for a little bit playing ball so we went to a couple games this week. Jax and Davy love seeing Uncle Chasey play. They are adorable!

The Canfields came over this week to go swimming and there was no shortage of cuteness from the little dude.

On Saturday, we celebrated my mom's birthday. We went to pilates together and spent the day in the pool. Later on, we had dinner and then a party at the house. It turns out that it was actually a joint party for me too, but it took me awhile to figure that out lol.  I was more worried about getting Oliver away from Jax because he isn't the best with kids. Whoops lol! It was so sweet of them to plan this little shindig to send me off to Virginia Beach!

It was a great weekend and now I'm ready to start checking some things off my list and preparing to leave this week. Ahh so crazy that it's actually here. I hope you all have a great week!
