Confessions {October Edition}

I wish VA Beach looked like this picture! This was taken last year in Michigan. SO pretty!
Hey everyone! I am in the mood to write today but of course failed miserably with taking pictures this weekend or this week lol. Well, I took a picture of our beers at Green Flash but that's about it haha. So I thought why not post a good ole fashioned confessions post. Here we go!

I am so close to breaking down about buying Christmas decor. I can't help it when it's out everywhere and so dang cute!! Kirkland's has the best stuff right now and I'm nervous that it will all be gone. They are pretty much sold out of fall decor so I know it's only a matter of time until the Christmas stuff is flying off the shelf. Don't judge me... I am a Christmas fanatic. :) I love this painting because it's subtle Christmas and this is also a fave.  Also, check out their ornaments. There are SO many cute ones!

These loft jeans are my new fave! They are super comfy, are higher- waisted without being high-waisted (if that makes sense), and fit tightly enough around the ankles. For some reason, most jeans are too baggy in that area or they look like spandex, not a good look.

We have made some BIG progress on our dining room table. Mark designed it himself and has done most of the heavy lifting... buying everything, cutting the wood, sanding the pieces, assembling it, etc. My job has been to stain the table base legs and the bench. It's been pretty time-consuming but I am loving how it's turning out so far. We are planning on having someone apply the lacquer for us because that can be a big job. Hopefully it will be done within a week!

Unfinished base. How cool are those table legs?? Also, ignore the mess in the background lol

The Pioneer Woman has done it again with another great cookbook. I was so excited when this showed up at my door on Tuesday. I had pre-ordered it but kinda forget so it was like a mini-Christmas morning! This book is centered around quick and/ or easy meals. This is right up my alley because I am the world's slowest cook. When a recipe says 30 minutes it will take me an hour lol. I need this cookbook so I'm not standing in the kitchen all night. I already have several pages marked so I can test our some recipes. A full review to come!

I am missing my friends like crazy. This move has been pretty tough for me, way more than I thought it would be. I forgot how lonely it can feel in a new city and I was anticipating to just bounce back quickly lol. I can happily say that I don't cry every week any more so that's an improvement. Also, I've met some really nice people here. I just miss being able to call a girlfriend for last minute dinner plans or call up Dina and Meaghan to go dancing. You know I love a good dancing night!

Can't I just stay home all day and decorate?? I am LOVING decorating our new house minus the fact that I don't have time to do it and it can get really expensive lol. It's so fun to pick out items and watch everything come together. If you've been following my One Room Challenge posts (Week 1, Week 2, Week 3) then you know I committed myself to finishing our bedroom in 6 weeks. Well we made little to no progress this week so I was thrilled when the ORC people extended the deadline. Look for my post this week to see what we've done :)

We are hosting our first Thanksgiving at the house this year. I know it may sound really silly but I've always wanted to host a holiday at our house. We've just never lived in anything big enough to make that happen. Our house will definitely accommodate everyone and when we are finished with the table, we will have a place for everyone to eat lol! I LOVE having people over ( I get it from my mom) and hosting an entire holiday week is like a dream to me. Now if only I didn't have to work that week lol.

I have been binge watching Gilmore Girls again. I just can't get enough. Rory and Lorelai are just the best when they are together. Yes, I know that I am a nerd.

Well that's about it for this confessions post. Hopefully, I'll be back on Monday with a weekend recap. Let's pray I can get my life together by then lol!

Five on Friday: January Confession Edition

Just because I love him! :) Davy is adorable

Good morning everyone and PRAISE THE LORD, it's Friday!!!! This has been the longest, short week ever haha. I really, really need to get some sleep this weekend and recharge. Getting more sleep is actually one of my goals this year... lame I know, but I am a terrible sleeper and it makes me so grumpy in the morning and I know it's bad health-wise too. This is the year of more sleep... hah maybe! If we finally have a baby, I would be fine with the no sleep part :)

1. I'm in a reading rut, I want something new and inspirational! I feel like I've read a lot of books by the same authors in the last couple years and I want some fresh blood. That sounded creepy but you know what I mean! I just ordered this book by Romi Neustadt and I can't wait to read it. No, I'm not full of myself lol (if the title made you think that I am), but the book is about getting out of your own way and building your business. I'm so excited about this read!

2. I'm turning 30 in about a month... crazy right? Didn't I just turn 21 like a few years ago... where does the time go? Anyways, I don't think 30 is old by any means, but it's a depressing thought for me because I'm not exactly where I thought we would be. This wanting a baby, and not getting pregnant thing is getting old. :( How come the show 16 and Pregnant makes it look so easy?? All kidding aside, we are still very hopeful that this is our year. I shared more about this long road we've been on here back in May. Read the post here.

3. I'm doing the Whole30 right now and I can think about is food :( I want a vanilla latte soooo badly and some ice cream would be nice too. How is it that I'm only 5 days in and I'm already sick of all the food. UGH! Anyone have any good snack ideas? We have been eating nuts, fruit, salami, veggies with guacamole, lara bars, etc. I also ordered the whole30 approved RX bars so I'm excited to try those!

4. I am trying to pick my focus word of the year it's actually stressing me out lol! Of course it is... maybe my word should be de-stress lol! I have a lot of goals this year but also there is a lot of unknown in our lives right now that we have no control over. I'm going back and forth between strengthen, mindset, brave, and belief. These are all things that I want to focus on but I'm not sure what word encompasses them all. Stay tuned for when I actually figure it out hah! I'll be sure to do a blog post on it. If you want to see my word from 2016, click here.

5. Now, that we the Christmas tree is put away and we have moved our furniture around, we have a big space near our kitchen table. I want to put in a bar cart but everything I've seen is so expensive. I know Mark could probably make one for us but I need to find something that doesn't require welding.

from this adorable blog- the piping is so interesting!

from target- but I like the rustic look

image via- I like the look of the cart but I would style it differently

Other confession posts... one, two, three...

Have a great weekend!

Confessions

I confess...

We've already gone through a giant bag of Halloween candy and purchased another one... then we opened that one too. Darnit!

Halloween hasn't even happened and I'm already excited about Christmas music, movies, and decor. I'm crazy, I know.

I'm planning on going to Disneyland at least twice in the next two months, because once at Christmas time just isn't enough lol.

I'm obsessed with scary, page-turning books. My current obsession is The Kept Woman by Karin Slaughter.

I bailed on Hell Week this year at Orange Theory Fitness. I've done it the last two years but this week is just so busy, so I cancelled last minute. I'll still workout there for some of the week but won't make it all 7 days. I actually did the workout on Tuesday and it KICKED my butt, but in the best way possible. I definitely cursed the crazy rep count while I was doing it but felt great after. :)

I'm already working on my Christmas shopping list. Don't worry, I didn't buy anything yet. Just want to get a head start on some creative ideas for friends and family. I seriously LOVE gift-giving. It's even better than receiving gifts.

We've watched a Halloween movie almost every day this week and I am LOVING it. I hope my future kids love a good theme as much as I do lol :)

I have been in the crafting mood lately. I've made a couple things that you can see here in my post from last week but I want to make something else this weekend. Any ideas??

I'm on the hunt for some new tall brown boots. I've worn mine to death and they actually hurt my feet now. Everything seems to have a heel or be above the knee, I don't want either. Ugh! Anyone found some good deals on boots lately???

The Espresso Cream Latte at Coffee Bean is my new obsession. It's so stinking good!

I am so disappointed by Lancome's new mascara, Grandiose Extreme Mascara. It's so clumpy and awful. I keep hoping that it will dry up a bit and work better. The original Grandiose mascara is 100x better.

Confessions... My random thoughts :)

I have way too many owl mugs- how cute is this though??

Hi everyone! I haven't done a confessions post in awhile so I thought I would catch you up on my random thoughts haha. Did you miss them??

I confess that...

I have been a reading machine lately. I am REALLY trying to make my goal of 50 books this year. Also, reading is just the best :) I'm such a nerd, I know. Yesterday, I posted about the book All the Missing Girls and how I'm obsessed with it. Scroll down for my review or just take my word for it and buy the book immediately.

I'm not as excited about fall as I usually am. At this point last year, I was begging for cooler weather and a PSL. This year, I am embracing this in between stage but also wishing for more beach days. Summer went too fast. Maybe once it's cool enough to wear boots and cozy sweaters on the reg, I'll be more excited.

I bought this open-front cardigan during the Nordstrom sale and I'm obsessed. I've pretty much worn it every time it gets a little colder at night. I have it in gray and I sized down to a XS, it runs HUGE. I might pick up this maroon color too!

I am finally back to working out. Hallelujah! I was averaging once or twice a week there for a little bit. So terrible! I have the workout bug again and I'm glad I finally do. My jeans are thanking me lol.

The Rodan+ Fields Convention is in less than a month!!! I cannot wait! It's in Vegas, which isn't that exciting for me because I'm from there but I'm still pumped. The new product will be announced and I'm just excited to be in the same place as my fellow team members. YAY!

We are still praying to be blessed by a baby. We've had some new discoveries this summer that have set us back a little but hopefully things will get better soon. I'm not exactly sure yet how much I'm going to share but maybe one day :)

I don't understand this Instant Pot craze. What is this contraption and how does it work??? I feel like I need one but I don't know why lol. Someone help!

People who don't say "excuse me" drive me insane. How rude are you that you think that running into someone isn't a big deal??? UGH! Rant over.

I have been in such a "soup" mood lately but it's still too hot. I found this pin that has 15 different slow cooker soups. I'll be trying these as soon as the temp drops!

I am pretty obsessed with this song. I love his voice!

We already have our Halloween costume picked out. I'm so excited because it will be so easy and comfy but hopefully pretty funny :) Is it too early for that??

Have a great day everyone!

When Life Doesn't Go As Planned

Raise your hand if you've ever had a plan but then something went haywire. Lol yes, me too! Mark and I joke that every time we planned a surprise or a date for each other, something would go wrong. I got Mark and myself tickets to Opening Day for the Padres one year. I bought the all-you-can-eat section and we came to the game starving. Sadly, when we got to our seats we realized that they were not all-you-can-eat, and $80 later we were full of hotdogs and nachos lol. The good news is that we had GREAT seats!

Another example, Mark planned a romantic getaway to Julian for my birthday/ Valentine's day. The hotel he booked was a cute little hole-in-the-wall hotel, or so we thought. He specifically picked this place because they included a wine tour. When we got to the room to check-in, we found out the wine tours ended the hour before... bummer. The real surprise was when we pulled around to the back to park by our room. The place was super run down and looked like the perfect place for a murder movie to be filmed lol. The water in our room was brown and Mark slept with his gun next to the bed. Also, we both got sick from dinner! Oh man lol. We ended up having a great time but we always laugh at our misadventures.

Well there are some things in life that go wrong and they aren't things that you look back and laugh at, or even think fondly of afterwards. They are heart-wrenching, gut-check type moments/ seasons of life. I feel like we are in one of those seasons right now. I spoke pretty openly about our infertility struggles in a post about a month ago. If you missed it click here to read it. I was shocked by the amount of people who reached out and are going through something similar or who just wanted to send some prayers and love our way. It's amazes me every time I find myself being vulnerable, that people will just surround us with love. It reminds me of how many kind, compassionate, and good people we have in our lives.

I cry just thinking about the sweet texts, emails, and calls I get on a weekly basis from people just checking in. A little note saying, "How's everything going? Any news?" makes my day. Thank you, thank you, thank you! On top of that, the prayer warriors that have come beside me, bless me in more ways than they could ever know.

So are our struggles over? Nope, we are smack dab in the middle of still trying to have a baby and figure out why my body isn't along for the ride. It's frustrating, hurtful, sad, beyond irritating, and can be all-consuming.

So what do we do in the mean time? Sometimes I want to curl up in my bed and cry... and sometimes that happens... whoops. What I really should be doing is focusing on the things I can control, like my attitude and my focus. I didn't come up with this idea on my own though. My friend Katie is an awesome writer and has a blog, A Kup of Katie. She's so stinking adorable and her blog is packed full of positivity and motivational content. You should definitely check it out!

Katie and I recently had a conversation where she reminded me that I can always control how I respond to my situation. We need to give ourselves time to process what is happening and how we are going to look at our circumstances. I can't change the fact that I am not pregnant but I can allow myself time with God to ask for His patience and strength. I can choose to focus on the things that make me happy, not as a distraction but as a way to feel true joy. I am the queen of distracting myself and that's not healthy either.

So I'm making a conscious effort to not let my situation define me and to choose joy despite how I am really feeling.  I'm choosing to thank God for the people He's brought into our lives, especially during this time. I'm choosing to be grateful for the many people who have come along side us and not shied away from this "uncomfortable" topic. I'm choosing to be a prayer warrior myself and pray boldly for those around us dealing with life circumstances that are not what they planned. I am challenging you to do the same. Reach out to someone who is going through a tough time... it doesn't matter if you haven't talked in years. You might just change the way they look at life!

Confessions: Life Update

Bentley- He's such a cute baby :)

First of all, this is my 200th post! What??? Crazy right? I've loved having this little space to share my random thoughts and all the things I'm passionate about. Thank you for joining me on this adventure and reading my posts. It means the world! :)

We have been so dang busy and have been out of town the last few weekends. Mark has been gone for work a ton too and he came home on Wednesday! YAY! It was only a few weeks but he's been working out of town so much lately, that it makes me miss him even more.

Slowly but surely, I am starting to feel more comfortable without foundation. I'm only wearing mascara and a little blush here :) Thank you Rodan+ Fields!

We have a busy weekend coming up with a friend's wedding and then another wedding next weekend, with multiple events leading up to it. Mark's cousin is actually the one getting married next weekend and we are so excited to be with the family and of course to see her say "I do!" We love Michael and are so happy that he's joining the family. :)

The school year is coming to an end but this doesn't mean we are winding down yet. Our events seem to triple in the last few weeks of school and its just crazy town right now lol. I will miss my sweet kiddos so much but I'll be so happy for a break. We've already crossed off several things and now we just need to get through an ice cream party (x2 actually), field day, Celebration of Learning practices, an awards party, and the last day of school is the Celebration of Learning performance. We can do this, right??

Sadly, I'm still not pregnant, but we are hoping to get some answers this week. It's frustrating but I'm trying to stay positive and hope for the future. I truly believe the Lord has a plan for us but I would just love a little insight to what that is lol... anyone else with me??

We finally tried the Baked Bear in Pacific Beach yesterday. It's an ice cream sandwich shop, YUM! It might have been a little too rich for me... is that even a thing haha? It was a delicious treat though!

My dear friends Stacee and Matt just welcomed a sweet little baby boy to the world. I couldn't be happier for them!!! :) I can't wait to meet you baby Quinn!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Confessions: We want to have a baby

This post has been a long time coming but I've struggled with putting everything into words. I'm pretty open about us wanting to have kids and some of the struggles we've had, but I haven't written about it on my blog. I feel that's a very different kind of open. I am willing to share all about the activities we do and random things that I'm thinking about, but something so personal and raw is rough for me. It's been heavy on my heart lately and I've felt the nudge to share, so here goes nothing!

Mark and I have been trying to have a baby for almost two years now. We haven't had the opportunity every month for the two years though.  Mark's awesome busy schedule takes him out of San Diego for weeks and sometimes months on end. Plus, I've had some health stuff going on which makes it even harder to get pregnant. I don't know if I'm ready to share all of that... one day. Just know that I am seeing a doctor and we working on these issues. With all that being said, there hasn't been a month where I've stopped wanting a baby. Even without the option to try, my heart still hurts every. single. month.

This is the time in our lives when everyone around us is having a baby. I am still overjoyed for all those people but it does sting a little to know that it hasn't happened for us. Everyone has their own journey and their own struggles and I would never want to take away their happiness. I just want to join them in this new phase of life.

The biggest blessing in our long road is that the Lord has drawn us closer to Him in a way that we've never. He has also drawn Mark and I closer to each other. Oh man, here come the waterworks for me... Thank the Lord you guys can't see me as I type lol. He has brought so many incredible people into my life (& into Mark's) who have supported us every step of the way, constantly giving us encouragement and uplifting us when it feels like a baby will never come. I know that he knows our hearts' desire and one way or another we will have a precious little one. The waiting it just the really crappy part. Who likes to wait?? lol... not me!

Some days are much harder than others, especially when people say things like, "You just need to relax." Oh man, if I hear that one more time I will scream. I know that people just don't know how to respond but trust me, that's not even close. At this point, relaxing is not going to help. I'm guessing what people really mean is to "relax" and not put too much stress on yourself. I agree with that but when it becomes an infertility issue, relaxing and just "having fun" isn't our answer. I hope that doesn't sound harsh, but it's extremely frustrating when you hear it for the 100th time. If you know someone struggling with similar things, praying for them and just listening are sometimes the best things you can do.

I wish I could say, "SURPRISE, our waiting is over!" but unfortunately that's not the case. We are still praying every day and have faith that it will happen. I know that it's not in my timing but in His timing and man oh man that's hard. The Lord is teaching me so much about control. Apparently, I'm really bad at letting go of it!

I know this must sound like a downer of a post but I'm really writing this as an encouragement. I know what you're thinking... "An encouragement??? You just said you have been trying for a long time and it hasn't happened!" Yeah, I know... here's what I really mean to say: If you are in the trenches when it comes to wanting a baby (or wanting anything else in your life), take comfort in knowing that there are people who are in the trenches with you. Everyone has their "stuff" as I call it, which basically means we all have areas of struggle in our lives. What gives me comfort is knowing that we aren't on this journey alone. We have family and friends who support us and more importantly I know the Lord is with us every step of the way.

I read something (can't remember where lol) about how the Bible doesn't say we won't face hardships or stressful situations. What it does say, is how to deal with those hard times. We need to put our trust in Him, so that is what we are doing. Even though we may fail a lot some days and there have been more tears than I can count, I know that it will all be made perfect in His timing.

Confessions

I'm linking up with Jessica at the Newly blog for Confessional Thursday. Head over to her blog to read more confessions!

1. My name is Jessica and I have a foundation addiction. I'm on a quest to find the perfect one! I'm super interested in the new Nars Matte Foundation even though I don't need it lol. Has anyone tried it? Also, Tarte just came out with a new gel formulation. You can buy it online at Ulta, but not in stores yet.

2. Rude people REALLY irritate me. I don't know what it is but lately I've encountered so many rude people. I'll be walking through a doorway and someone will cut me off or I'll let someone go before me at a 4-way stop and they just look straight ahead. How hard is it to give a little wave or a nod?? That drives me nuts.

3. My sweet tooth is in over-drive lately. The more I try and avoid sweets, the more I find myself eating them. It's terrible! I blame Valentine's day and my birthday, but really I have no self-control. Ugh, I've got to get a handle on this.

4. I'm back on my obsession with Nantucket. I just love the idea of Nantucket so much! I've never been there but it just seems like a magical place. I'm almost done reading Nantucket Sisters by Nancy Thayer and it has me secretly wishing for summer to get here ASAP. Wasn't I just complaining about the heat lol??

5. This new palette is calling my name. I LOVE all Too Faced eyeshadow palettes and I can't resist the colors in this one. Plus the name is adorable!

6. Yet again, I ordered some new Erin Condren planner stickers from the Glam Panner. She has the cutest sets but man oh man they are pricey.

7. You know when people go on rants on Facebook about how other people have annoyed them?? I always think they are talking about me even though I haven't talked to them in forever lol. Am I the only one??

8. I keep an on-going list of baby names in my notes app on my phone. I add names that Mark and I both like and its constantly growing/ changing. It doesn't hurt to be prepared right?? :)

Have a great day everyone and YAY for it almost being Friday!!

29 Things You Might Not Know About Me

In honor of my 29th birthday (today) I thought I would share some random facts that you might not know about me! Enjoy :)

1. Pizza is my favorite food group :)

2. I've dislocated my knee 7 or 8 times... I've lost count.

3. I think beets taste like dirt... and carrots too. Yuck! I once ate breakfast at a place that garnished their food with beets. I decided to order pancakes that day and the beets soaked into my pancake. SO NASTY! I still have nightmares about that pancake.

4. I hate chicken on pizza, especially barbecue chicken pizza...nasty.

5. I was born in Georgia but only lived there for 2.5 years.

6. I have a serious love for Happy Hour... cheap drinks and appetizers?? I'm in!

7. I HATE ants. They freak me out because they multiply so quickly.

8. My first concert was Alan Jackson and I've seen him 6 or 7 times. We use to go to country concerts all the time when I was growing up.

9.  I'm convinced I have a separate stomach for ice cream. No matter how full I am I always have room for some dessert.

10. I have two fur-babies, Oliver and Bentley. They are so stinkin' adorable but I might be a little bias.

11. My first car was a '67 Camaro and I LOVED it. I'm determined to own one again one day.

12. My hubby and I got married to each other twice. :) I'll share the story sometime.

13. I was in band in high school. I played the clarinet and also played the giant cymbals in the drum line during marching season haha :) I was pretty terrible at them both.

14. My Jeep's name is Wilbur.

16. Baseball is my favorite sport. Go Tigers! Unless my brother in law is playing then it's go METS!

17. Gilmore Girls is probably my all-time favorite show. I own all the seasons and watch them pretty frequently. Is anyone else excited that it's coming back??

19.  I could live in a t-shirt, jeans, and flip flops for the rest of my life.

20. I worked at Sonic in high school. Yep, I wore the roller skates and everything. I fell ALL the time.

Confessions Round 2

I confess that I have fallen off the wagon when it comes to working out. I have been averaging 2x a week right now. That's sad. I'm just so exhausted when I get home that I talk myself out of it. UGH! I have gone the past two days to OTF and I plan on working out at the gym tonight. That would make it three times then Saturday morning would be four. I need someone to just make me go lol.

I confess that all I've wanted to cook is comfort food. This is so unlike me because normally I cook Paleo-ish meals. I blame my new Pioneer Woman cookbook. It's so good but also sooo rich. I've been cooking a ton but that doesn't mean it's always healthy cooking. I'll meal plan healthier things next week :)

I confess that rude servers really bother me. I worked in a restaurant for 4 years and I was never rude to a customer. We've had some terrible service lately and it's just so frustrating. Be nice people!!!

I confess that I'm back on flavored creamer in my coffee. Ugh, I was so good for so long and now I'm completely hooked again! Darnit :( Maybe I really do need to do Whole 30 next month.

I confess that I haven't wanted to go shopping at all. This is SOOOO unlike me but I just feel gross and don't want to buy clothes at a bigger size. I would rather lose the weight first, then shop lol. Hopefully that will help motivate me!! I've got the self-shame thing down :( which is also super sad!

I confess that I miss my family and I literally JUST saw them. What will I do if we ever move farther than one state away??

I confess that I am already planning my Valentine's day gift/ date for Mark. I know it's super early and V-day is really corny but I love it. We won't be fighting the other crazies for a spot at a restaurant that night because he is actually out of town. We will have a "make-up" Valentine's day later that week. Has anyone else started??

I confess that I always stop and look at the baby section of clothing stores. Baby clothes are soooo cute! I haven't bought anything yet, so that's a good sign that I haven't taken it too far lol. Nothing wrong with people who stock up on baby clothes, I just can't do it because it would make me sad :(

These confessions are kind of depressing :( Let's end it on a high note. I confess that I love meeting new blogger friends! It's fun to read the same blogs everyday and comment back and forth. It makes me feel like I'm actually getting to know them :)

Thanks for reading everyone! Have a great Thursday. I'll be back tomorrow with my Five on Friday post! :)

Confessions...

Happy hump day! I hope you are having a great week so far and that you are ready for Thanksgiving next week. I can't even wrap my head around the fact that it's about to be Thanksgiving. Holy moly!

This week is crazy! I feel like I am sprinting a marathon and I need a breather, big time! Instead of a long, drawn out post I thought I would be real with you and let you in on some of my embarrassing secrets... Enjoy!

- My to-do list is about a mile long and I'm dreading about 90 percent of the things on it. Yikes!

- I'm not going to make my 50 books in a year goal. Technically, I've read WAY over 50 books because I'm a teacher and I read everyday but I promised myself I would only include adult books though... no children's books. Ugh, I was really hoping I would hit my goal but I'm only at 34 books!

- I lasted two days of No-Spend-November. Yep, two days... I suck. It's not my fault though... all these stores were having great sales and I couldn't help myself. Okay, it's totally my fault! :(

- I have been listening to Christmas music since November 6th when it started on Sirius radio. Yep, I am that person. I love Christmas music and it bums me out to think that we only get to listen to it for a month! Luckily for my hubby I've only been listening to it in the car when I'm alone :)

- I've recently started buying stickers on Etsy for my Erin Condren planner and I am full on obsessed! It's so fun to see the new kits put out each week by my favorited stores. I feel so lame that stickers excite me! Does this mean I am getting old? Or boring lol??

- For the last two weeks I've gone to Starbucks or Coffee Bean 5 days a week. I am an addict!!!

- I'm thinking about getting out my Christmas tree this weekend. Is it too early?? We are heading home for Christmas on the 18th of December so that means it will only be up for a few weeks if we put it up in December. Mark gave me the go-ahead so I think I just might do it! :)

- About 50% of my Christmas wish-list includes books lol. Wow, I'm exciting.

- I've been eating Halloween candy like it's my job. We bought a giant bag of assorted tootsie rolls and lollipops and didn't end up passing it out. I swear I eat about 10 of the large tootsie rolls a day! Yikes, so bad!!!
