Gift Guide for Him

I'm back today with another gift guide but this time it's for the men in your life. Thankfully I had Mark to help me with this because shopping for guys is hard work. Most of these items are going to be based around an outdoorsy guy but some will work for any man in your life.

ONE   TWO  THREE
FOUR   FIVE   SIX
SEVEN   EIGHT   NINE

One- This Garmin heart rate watch is awesome for any athletic guy.  Mark uses it for tracking his workouts by connecting it to the Garmin app. You can also download maps for hikes or even golf courses on to the watch. "It's the ultimate watch for the man on the go" says Mark.

Two- Who doesn't love a GoPro?? This latest edition has all the bells and whistles such as voice controls, a 2-inch touch screen display, and is waterproof up to 33 ft without a housing. The best thing about though it is the single touch go feature.

Three- Patagonia jackets are long lasting and will always be in style. This plaid one is perfectly casual but is a little different than a standard nano puff.

Four- This Leatherman multitool is a must-have for any guy in your life. This would also make a great stocking stuffer!

Five- My brother in law had these Nikes with him this past week during his visit and we all loved them. They look really nice but are still comfortable enough to wear everyday. This gray and white combo is my favorite but they have other options too.

Six- The Amazon Echo will work for almost anyone on your list. It's super versatile and can do almost anything from change a song to requesting an uber. This is on my list this year too! Bonus is that it's on sale on Amazon right now.

Seven- These are another recommendation from my brother in law. He loves Lululemon pants and always raves about how comfortable they are. They are on the pricey side but I'm sure you have someone on your list who would really appreciate a pair.

Eight- These Norman Copenhagen whiskey glasses are super nice and would be a great addition to any bar. I know Mark would love these!

Nine- Golf balls are always a safe option (well if your guy golfs lol) and I always end up buying Mark at least one box. The Pro V1s are a fan fave in my family! Plus right now you can get them personalized for free which is a really nice touch.

**Bonus item: This didn't make the collage above but I recently saw this and thought it would be a great gift idea. The Classic Nintendo is back and what a fun gift for a girl, guy, or even the whole family. I wish we still had our Nintendo from growing up! Duck hunt was my jam!

Hope this helps you get some inspiration and of course if you have any ideas, comment them below! I'll be back with more gift ideas this week!

Gift Guide for the Girly Girl

Hey everyone! The holidays are upon us and I really need to get my butt in gear when it comes to gift buying. I've always had a pretty good grasp on my list by now but honestly I'm scrambling. Thankfully the blog world gives me TONS of ideas and I hope to pass on some of my ideas to you too. Making these lists always helps me to streamline my buying :)

Lash Boost Bundle: I can't get enough of Lash Boost and with the addition of the Bright Eye Complex, I'm even more in love. This is the gift that keeps on gifting :) Plus it comes with a free eyelash curler that is seriously the cutest. If you want details on this bundle, let me know and I'll give you all the info.

Nest Candle: I have been in love with the Birchwood Pine candle for a few years and I feel like you just can't go wrong with this as a gift. The candle is light enough to not be overpowering but so fresh and perfect for the holidays.

Blush Pink Sleepshirt: This sleep shirt is sooo soft and comfortable. I hate sleeping in pants... sorry if that's TMI lol so a sleep shirt is perfect. Plus the blush pink is a good transition color into the January and February too.

Pom pom earrings: How perfect are these earrings for a night out, especially New Years?? They are so fun and will dress up any outfit. Any girly girl would love these!

MAC brush set: I have used MAC brushes for years and love them. This set is a great little travel kit for any woman in your life. Plus the little travel pouch serves as a great holiday bag as well.

UGG Fleece-lined socks: I'm always down for a good slipper sock and these are so comfy. They are a little pricey but I think they are worth every penny because they last a long time. Plus I can't resist a good pom pom!

Tassel Earrings: These are soooo dang cute! I seriously love tassels and these are the perfect neutral for any outfit. These are on my list for sure!

Passport holder: I've been on the hunt for a passport holder and I found one that I love! How cute is this fringe? This is a great gift for any lady on your list, plus it's something unique that they most likely won't have.

I will be back this week with more gift guides but I wanted to get this one out since it's ready to go. I hope I helped spark some inspiration for someone on your list. :)

Stocking Stuffer Gift Guide: for her

I absolutely love stuffing stockings. There's something so fun about squeezing in all the small goodies and surprising people with unexpected gifts. I usually stuff Mark's stocking, my mom's, my mother-in-law's, and I help with my dad's stocking too. I've collected some fun goodies that would even make a great gift for a mom, sister, friend, etc... they don't have to be just for stockings. I hope this helps with some of your Christmas shopping!

Talking As Fast As I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls by Lauren Graham

This is perfect for all your Gilmore Girl fans! I always like to include a book or even a movie. This book and this movie would also be another good choice.

Bauble Bar Necklace

Such a steal for only $9 and perfect for layering!

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Glosses

I love these lip glosses and this little set is adorable.

Tassel Keychain

So cute and who doesn't love tassels??

Birchwood Pine Nest Candle

This is my favorite candle of all time. The Birchwood pine scent is so fresh and totally embodies Christmas. They have small tea light candles that will be perfect for a stocking.

Essie Nail Polish

These nail polishes are designed to last as long as gel polish. This color is also super fun for the holidays and can be worn all year long.

Sephora Hand Mask

Jennifer at Pretty Neat Living talks about these hand masks all the time. I think this is a great gift for anyone who struggles with dry hands during the winter. I'm giving these to lots of friends and they will be in the stockings I stuff as well. Such a nice treat for yourself!

Pom Beanie

This is just plain adorable!

Benefit Blush

This blush is universally flattering and is an everyday color. I love that it's in a mini size, so it's perfect for travel.

Fuzzy Socks

You can't have enough fuzzy socks. They are perfect for around the house on chilly days.

Girlfriends Gift Guide 2016

Hey everyone! It's that time of year again! I love love love gift giving. It's such a fun way to celebrate Christmas and tell someone you love them. I had about a million ideas but I finally narrowed it down to these items. I think I have something for every girlfriend on your list, so let's get started.

Sequin tumbler

How fun is this tumbler?? I think it makes a great gift for anyone on your list because who doesn't love a cute cup to drink out of?? I use my hydro flask every single day but I love that this one has a little flair. If the sequins aren't  your style, think of getting them a hydro flask or go big with a yeti tumbler and get it personalized with a decal.

Sonix phone charger

When I was at the R+F convention in Vegas, I realized how essential it is to have a portable charger. I was on my phone a ton and it kept dying. Thank the Lord, my dad let me borrow his! Now I want my own charger and how adorable is this Sonix version?? This is perfect for the girl on the go.

Kate Spade cardholder

This adorable cardholder is perfect for the holidays because you can just throw it in your clutch and not have to worry about a bulky wallet. Plus how adorable is the polka dot print??  Also, count on me saying adorable at least 30 more times in this post lol.

Buxom lip cream

I love the Buxom lip glosses and this lip cream looks like the perfect nude color for anyone. The little holiday addition is even cuter than normal! We could always use one more lip gloss right?? :)

Shauna Niequist books

I absolutely love Shauna Niequist. Her books are honest and raw, they will make you laugh, and I feel like she really gets to the heart of the issues that a lot of women face. Present Over Perfect is her newest book and I can't wait to read it. Some other great books by her are Cold Tangerines, Bread & Wine, and Bittersweet. Great gift for the book lover in your life!

Pajamas

I think pajamas are such a fun gift for a girlfriend. I definitely don't spend money on cute PJs when it comes to buying for myself, and I can imagine my friends are the same way. This nightgown looks super soft and comfy, especially for our not-so-cold "winter" nights in SD.

These wine glasses are perfect for the holidays but are also usable for the entire year. I love how simple they are but add a festive touch to your normal glassware. They are a great gift for any wine lover in your life.

Handmade jewelry

Isn't that necklace beautiful?? It was made by my super talented cousin, Laura. She also made my jewelry for my wedding, including my headpiece. I LOVED it! She has an adorable Etsy shop, Kyoko Town, with some great handmade gifts. I have a necklace similar to this one (that she made me) and I wear it all the time. I think things with a personal touch make the best gifts. Plus she can custom make you a piece, so fun!! Head on over to her shop or her Instagram to see new items.

**This last one isn't pictured above but I couldn't leave it out because it's such a great gift idea. As you know, I am a HUGE fan of Rodan+ Fields products and the newest product, Lash Boost, is no exception. It's a nightly lash conditioning serum that gives you longer looking, fuller looking, and darker looking lashes.  I've been using it for 4 weeks and I definitely notice a difference in my lashes. My hubby has even commented several times and he doesn't normally notice stuff like that! You know it's good if men notice lol! Right now, the company is running a holiday special that includes a free mini eye cream and an adorable eyelash bag. Such a fun gift for any girlfriend!

I would love to hear what you're getting your girlfriends. Comment below with some new ideas for all of us! :)

Gift Guide: for her

I have another fun roundup of gift ideas for you. This one is for your best friend, sister, mom... whoever! I have a wide variety of gifts from inexpensive to the pricier items. I personally would love all these gifts!

1- The Clarisonic set is an awesome gift for the beauty-lover in your life. I got the Mia 2 a couple years ago for my birthday and I LOVE it. I use it almost every day and it truly has changed my skin for the better.

2- This Sephora brush set is ultra girly and fun! Sephora has great brushes and this set is an awesome deal for only $85 with a $225 value!

3- I love this Bauble Bar collar necklace. It's definitely a statement piece but not too crazy and overwhelming. I think this would be the perfect addition to any holiday outfit.

4- The pom on this beanie is seriously adorable. I am on the hunt for the perfect pom-pom beanie and I think I've found it. I love that the texture of the beanie is cable knit as well. So cute!

5- I have been loving Bucket bags and this Sole Society one is making me swoon. The cognac color is perfect and seriously goes with everything. The under $60 price tag is pretty nice too!

6- One of my favorite gifts I've ever gotten is my Nook. Mark gave it to me a couple years ago for Christmas and I use it ALL the time. I am an avid reader and it makes it so easily to always have a book on hand. I was always a firm believer that actual  books were  the only way to go but I've been changed by this little guy. They have a ton of different options but this seems to be the latest and greatest!

7- This burgundy clutch is great for the fall/ winter. I love the texture on the top flap and the gold zipper. This is a great inexpensive gift (only $19!!) for any of the woman on your list! Old Navy always has cute clutches and I've had mine for several years.

8- The Pioneer Woman makes great cookbooks with funny anecdotes and lots of yummy recipes. I have two of her cookbooks and I can't wait to add her new one, Dinnertime to my collection. This is a wonderful gift for the cook in your life.

9- This is definitely more of a luxury item but will be a much-loved present for the coffee lover on your list. Plus it's over 50% off on Sur La Table's website! I've heard so many great things about the Nespresso machines and this one even includes a milk frother. I feel like this would drastically cut my Starbucks tab lol.

10- This Instax mini camera is probably my favorite item on this gift guide. I think this is such a fun gift for kids to adults. If you haven't seen these yet it's basically a polaroid camera but it's made by Fuji film and the pictures are smaller. It comes in all different colors, is super easy to use, and it even  has different settings for a softer focus on the pictures. Best Buy has it on sale for $69.99 right now.

I am linking up with Jessica, Amy, and Alisha for the Bits of Cheer holiday linkup. I'm also linking up with Katie, Pinky, and Sara for their Countdown to Christmas.  Check out their blogs for more holiday goodness!

Gift Guide: for him & Weekend Update

I'm so sorry about not having a weekend recap but we literally did nothing this weekend. Mark was in bed all weekend with the flu and we had to cancel all of his birthday festivities. We were both so bummed, especially since I had bought him New Found Glory and Yellowcard tickets as a surprise. We were hoping he would be better by Sunday night but he still felt terrible. Poor guy! I'm praying he gets better by Wednesday so we can enjoy our time with Mark's mom, Lauren and brother, Chase. The flu stinks! The good news is we put up our tree and I decorated our apartment for Christmas! I know it's a little early but Mark leaves for 17 days starting December 1st and I wanted him to be able to enjoy the holiday decor a little bit.
Anyways, Happy Monday everyone! I hope you enjoy this little gift guide for the men in your life!

Gift-buying for the men in our lives can be tough. I don't know about your hubby but mine always says he doesn't want anything. That makes it really hard when shopping for Christmas presents. I've become pretty good at keeping a running list of things he says he likes so I can buy them as gifts later on. :) My dad is pretty tough to buy for as well but I think this little gift round-up will help. I enlisted the help of my husband to figure out some gifts that all different kinds of guys would like to receive. I  hope this helps you this holiday season!

1- GoPros are always a nice gift, especially if you buy the newest GoPro 4 Hero. This is a pricey present but will be much appreciated and loved by anyone, especially the techy loving guys. My husband already has a GoPro and he assured me he would be very happy getting the newest one.

2- I love Mark's Jambox because it's so easy to use and we can take it anywhere. I have a portable speaker too but it's not as small or convenient as Mark's. They come in all different sizes and colors and would be an awesome gift for a woman as well.

3- I find that most guys don't love to shop. I rarely see Mark or my dad buy clothes for themselves so buying them a clothing item makes a great gift. I got Mark a jacket a few years ago and he really liked it. It's more of an outdoorsy jacket but it's perfect for his work and our lifestyle here in San Diego. There are so many options out there but I really love the dark green color of this Mountain Hardwear Jacket. I even have a jacket by this brand and I LOVE it.

4- This is Mark's pick for the outdoorsy guy. He loves his Kelty backpack and uses it daily to store his workout clothes/ shoes, lunch, nalgene bottles, etc. It's held up really well and still looks great. This is a great hiking backpack too!

5/ 6- If you are the among the lonely wives who are married to a man who loves golf I am sorry and I feel your pain lol. My husband is obsessed with golf! He insisted that I needed a golf category in this gift guide so I included one :) I found these personalized Titleist Pro V1 balls and Mark loved them. It adds a personal touch on an already awesome golf ball. Apparently all really nice drivers are around $500! What?? I know, crazy right? Mark told me this Titleist 915 D3 is an awesome club and your guy would be blown away if he got this! Hopefully Goldsmith or Golf Galaxy will be having some good black Friday sales so you can pick this little guy up!

7- I love gifting events or time together instead of just "things." Don't get me wrong, I love things but I love spending time with my loved ones more. Buying tickets for a football game or even a concert is a great gift and the bonus is you get to go with them! :)

8- I saw this NFL grilling set and immediately thought of my dad. He has Lions and Michigan everything but I think he would love this. He might already have it haha. They have grilling sets for pretty much every team.

9- I was walking around Sur La Table the other day just taking pictures of gift ideas and things to add to my wishlist. They have so many cool things in that store! One of the items that I would love and I know most men would too are these stainless steel grilling trays. They even have trays for different meat. I think this is also a great idea for shrimp or scallops too. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to grill scallops and they fall through the little cracks! So annoying!

10- Another fun gift idea for an experience is to gift a cooking class at Sur La Table. They have hands-on classes, demonstration classes, or private events you can book yourself. This would be so fun to do with a group or even with your hunny. Just a side note- it's a good idea to make sure they like to cook otherwise they might think you are trying to give them a hint lol. Mark and I took a cooking class together and had a blast!
