Weekend Recap

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend... I know I did! It went by super fast but I was able to catch up on some laundry and cleaning which is always a win in my book.

On Friday, I was exhausted from a crazy school day but we still managed to make it out to dinner with Emily and James. I love going out to eat on Fridays because the last thing I want to do is cook and then have to clean it all up lol. We went to Sushiya which is a favorite for the four of us.

Emily- I love your face here :)

Afterwards we headed to the Pearl to have a drink. I love their outside area by the pool, especially when they are playing a black and white movie. Such a relaxing and nice atmosphere. It was so fun to catch up and share laughs with Emily and James. Love those two!
When we got home I may have purchased a few things from the Sephora VIB sale... :) I love gifting makeup products!

On Saturday morning, we grabbed a bagel and coffee at Einstein's before heading out to help a friend move. The move went super quickly and we were done in less than two hours. Woohoo!

Afterwards, I met up with Dina to get in a quick workout. Mark and Greg went and worked out at a different base so I was able to get some housework done before they got back. We were planning on watching the Ronda Rousey fight at Buffalo Wild Wings but the line was out the door and around the building. We ended up buying the fight at the house. The guys watched the fights leading up to the main event while I worked on my devotional that I am sharing at work on Thursday. I'm super nervous so prayers would be greatly appreciated :)

I love turning to a page in the Bible and seeing a passage that really speaks to me. Turns out it spoke to me before too :)

I really don't like watching fights... all the violence freaks me out. Especially with MMA and how they dislocate/ break bones. Ew... grosses me out! I did manage to watch a little bit of Rousey's fight and I was so sad to see her lose. It was pretty awful. Anyways, I stayed up working on the blog and then called it a night.

Sunday was pretty low-key. We got up early and I worked on my devotional. I went grocery shopping and ran other errands in the morning/ early afternoon. We watched some football and then it was time for Mark to head to work. He has a big course coming up this week and lots to prep for along with a meeting.

Last night was also our last marriage Bible study meeting. It was just a short four-week study since the guys have such crazy schedules. It's been such an encouraging time and I'm sad that it's over so soon. We had a pot-luck tonight and I brought macaroni and cheese. I was trying to find something healthier to bring but it's so hard to keep things warm without getting soggy. Everyone loves mac n' cheese so that's what I decided on. We can all eat healthy tomorrow, right? :) I also made the marinade for a cuban pork I'm making tomorrow. If it turns out good I'll post the recipe this week :)

Come back tomorrow to see my makeup picks for the Christmas season. :) Have a great day!
