National Day of Prayer

Today is the National Day of Prayer. I love that this day gives us a chance to come together as a Nation and pray for the things that are heavy on our hearts!

"Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone." Psalm 33:22

Here is what I am praying for today:

Our future leader

Enough said, right? :)

For our military

I pray that they are able to do their jobs without interference from the higher ups (who don't know the day-to-day issues).  :) I also, pray that the Lord provides a hedge of protection around them as they do very dangerous jobs. I pray for their families who are waiting for them to return... I ask that the time goes quickly and that their marriages continue to thrive and grow stronger.

I pray for a friend whose husband is coming home very soon. I pray that the next few weeks just fly by!

A sister of one of my students is going through testing to see if her cancer has come back. Scary, but I know the Lord is with her every step of the way. Praying lots of peace and faith for that family during this hard time.

I'm also praying for a friend who has had some very serious medical issues for years now. I'm praying for information to be provided and a specific diagnosis to be made soon.

I pray that the Lord would give us patience during this season of waiting. This has been a specifically hard area for me and I know I need to work on it.  I'm also asking that we could find joy in the midst of this season.

My husband

I pray that he feels fulfilled in this new-ish role at work. I also pray that he would come home safely from training. Thank you Lord for such an incredible man to spend my life with!

The list could go on and on but these are the big things I am praying for today. What is our your prayer list? If you want to email me a prayer request, I would love to pray for you too!
