Cookbook Giveaway

I won a cookbook giveaway awhile ago and completely forgot about it. Well today when I came home from work, there was a package on my doorstep. I had no idea what it could be, so when I opened it, I was pleasantly surprised to see the cookbook I won! I am so excited about this because I always LOVE new recipes and we are definitely trying to eat healthier. Paleo dishes are an easy way for me to cut the bad stuff out of my life because I can still eat delicious food!

I'll give you guys a full review after I make a few recipes. :)

Hallmark's Movie Schedule

The Hallmark channel just released their holiday movie schedule and I couldn't be more excited. I know, I know... we first need to get through Halloween and Thanksgiving before even thinking about Christmas. I love this time of year for all of the holidays and I'm not skipping those to get to Christmas. I just LOVE the cheesy movies on the Hallmark channel and I can't wait to watch them all! Who else is with me??

I Did It Again...

So I was off the Erin Condren train and now I'm back on. I ended up ordering the horizontal life planner because it looks WAY easier to write in than my current vertical planner. I'm unsure of how I'll use planner stickers but at least when I don't, it will still be functional. I feel like using the stickers becomes an obsession... I know, I am seriously the lamest person talking about this right now but it's fun for me lol. I'm sure I'll figure it out but in the mean time... how cute it my cover with the rose gold foil???

Fall Decor

I've been super into DIYs lately and I'm hoping I can find a little time this weekend to work on more. I did a few projects last weekend and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. My mom gave me the idea for the painted mason jars. She added burlap to hers and some cute lettering, but I wanted to try something a little different.  It took 3 layers to make the jar opaque and the chalky paint was a little hard to work with.  I really liked the end result though!

I saw this adorable idea on Pinterest of painting a pumpkin and using a hot blue gun to make lettering underneath. It seemed so simple so I decided to give it a go. Well, it was harder than it looked but I really think it was my glue gun that made it so complicated. The glue kept globbing up, making it hard to make fluid lines. I even burned one part of the pumpkin lol! Whoops. I used three coats of paint to cover the entire pumpkin and had to do several touch-ups.  If you don't get too close the pumpkin looks pretty good :)

Fall Candles

The other day, I was looking through my collection of candles and realized I don't have any fall scents. I knew I needed to make a trip to Bath & Body Works but in the meantime, I was at Target grabbing some random things I needed. I stopped when I saw the candle display and I was reminded of how much I LOVE the candles from there. I grabbed Maple Pumpkin Souffle and Pumpkin Gingerbread. YUM! You can't beat the price tag and the candles last a super long time.

  1. Okay so I know I'm totally in the minority here but..I've never purchased a planner. I know, I'm crazy. I store all of my important events on my iPhone and then sync it with my work calendar in GMail. That said, I love seeing all the pretty paper planners that everyone posts about. I share your enthusiasm for Hallmark's Christmas movie line up! I look forward to it every year :)

  3. I've been debating on one of her planners for 2017. I'm really good about using it until about 1/2 way through the year....Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
