Five on Friday

1. New Panama Hat

I have been on the hunt for a Panama hat for the summer time. I didn't want to spend a ton of money because I had no idea how much I would actually wear it. See, I like the idea of hats but I rarely wear them lol. When we were at the BX yesterday I was walking through the men's section and I saw this hat sitting there. I tried it on and my mom and Mark loved it and it was only $22! I found it online here but it's a little more expensive.

2. What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty

I bought What Alice Forgot when we were in Monterey at the most adorable book store. I usually read on my Nook but there's just something I love about having a physical book. I am about halfway through the book and so far I am LOVING it! It's about a woman who wakes up on the gym floor after hitting her head. She wakes up thinking she is 29, married to her wonderful husband, and pregnant with her first child when in all actuality it's ten years later, she's going through a divorce, and she has three kids. So far the book has been her journey trying to get her memory back and figure out what happened to her life. It's addicting and I highly recommend it!

3. Old Navy Shopping

I LOVE to shop, but I don't like spending a lot of money on clothes. I always find great deals at Old Navy that was the case again last week. I found this adorable dress to wear on the fourth of July. It's not form fitting (so it makes me feel at ease and comfortable) but it still gives you a shape. **Ignore the weird selfies lol

I also found this off the shoulder top that is adorable. I got it in pink as well. I think that they ended up being $12! So cute and an easy thing to throw on with jeans or bright colored shorts.

4. Our Trip

We started our crazy trip last Monday and we are currently in the last few days of our big adventure. We went to Disneyland, Monterey, San Francisco, Reno, and now Vegas. I will post all about it when we get home and I have time to go through all the pictures. It was a total blast and I'll be sad when it's over...but very happy to sleep in my own bed :)

5. 4th of July

Tomorrow is the 4th of July! It's one of my favorite holidays and I can't wait to spend it with family and friends. So many things to be thankful for and the fourth is just another reminder that our freedom is because of the brave. I am so thankful for all the men and women of the armed forces and the sacrifices they have made. Growing up in a military family (and now being a military wife) I have always had a great sense of pride for our nation. I love a day that is all about celebrating our past and our independence. I hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow!
