Favorite Kitchen Gadgets/ Tools

I've seen several of my favorite bloggers post about their favorite kitchen gadgets. I love this idea,  especially since I've discovered a lot of new kitchenware this way! I don't have a ton of gadgets but I have some things that I use in the kitchen pretty much daily so I thought I would share a few, or a little more than a few! :)

1. Food Processor by the Food Network

*Not my picture but it was the only one I could find online

My mother in law gave us this food processor as a wedding present and I LOVE it! I use it all the time to shred sweet potatoes (for sweet potato hash) or to puree ingredients to make various sauces. This model isn't available any longer but I think any food processor by the Food Network or Cuisinart would work great. This is a kitchen must have for me!

2. KitchenAid Artisan Series Stand Mixer

Blue Willow
I have wanted a KitchenAid forever and I was so excited to receive this beauty as a wedding present from my grandma. I LOVE it! It's super easy to use and to keep clean. I have a couple attachments but my favorite it the ice cream maker attachment. My mom's best friend got it for me as a wedding present and it works really well. I've made a couple batches of vanilla and blackberry chip. I need to whip this baby out again soon!

3. Global Steel Knives

Global Knives
Our good friends Brittney and Jeff gave us a couple Global knives for our wedding. We got seriously hooked up for our wedding didn't we?? We have a larger knife and the one above. They are awesome knives... super sharp and they stay that way. I've seen them at Costco in the past and I recommend getting them there because they are pretty expense everywhere else. So worth the price though!

4. Crockpot 6 qt. Slow-Cooker

I love this slow-cooker because it has a timer and it automatically goes to the "warm" setting after the cooking time is over. This is wonderful especially for long days at work. I can put a meal in the crockpot in the morning and it's ready for when we get home from work. Plus the clean up is minimal because it's just the one pot.  My last slow-cooker would over cook the heck out of anything I put into it so the timer function is a HUGE blessing.
